Why Voice Chat Matters
- Voice chat is vital for team coordination and immersion. You don’t need a fancy microphone—any basic headset or built-in mic will work fine.
MAIL & PO BOXES
Registering Your PO Box
- Locate any mail box around the county (look for the black mailboxes boxes near train stations, streets, and town squares).
- Stand close and press the G key to open the mail interface.
- Click the “Register…” button to obtain a permanent PO number for your current character.
- Make a note of this PO number — you’ll use it to receive letters from friends, customers, and business partners.
Sending Mail
- Approach any mail box and press G to open it.
- Select “Open Mail.”
- Use the Contacts list to choose a recipient (or enter a PO number manually).
- Write your message, attach items if needed, and press “Send.”
- Check the Sent tab to confirm your letter went out.
Receiving Mail
- A small envelope icon appears in the bottom‑left of your screen when new mail is waiting.
- Visit any mail box, open it, and check your Inbox tab to read your mail.
- All mail remains stored until you delete it, so clear your inbox regularly.
Web Access (Read‑Only)
- You can review your mail at any time on the website: rosewoodridge.xyz/account?tab=Mail
- The web portal is read‑only—sending mail still requires an in‑game mail box.
Tips
- Share your PO number on business cards or posters so customers can reach you.
- Keep multiple characters? Each one gets a unique PO number — don’t mix them up!
CAMPING
Setting Up Your Camp
- Visit any outfitters shop in the county to purchase camp objects
- Open your inventory and select the camp item you wish to place
- Find a suitable location for your camp away from towns and main roads
- Position your camp object and use the scroll wheel to rotate it
- When satisfied with the placement, click to set it down
- Walk up to the object and press "R" to build/finalize it
Managing Your Camp
- To manage camp permissions or remove your camp, stand within your camp area and type
/camp
- If your camp fails to load properly, use
/camp_load
to refresh it - Your camp serves as a personal crafting area and safe space
- You can allow other players access to your camp through the permissions menu

HUNTING
Basic Hunting
- Purchase a rifle, bow, or other hunting weapon from a gunsmith

- Aim for vital organs (head or heart) for clean kills
- After killing an animal, approach it and skin it to collect pelts and meat

Legendary animals can be found throughout the county. Speak with Gus to get information on legendary hunting locations.
- Legendary animals have unique pelts that are valuable for special crafting recipes

Selling Animal Parts
- Bring animal pelts, meat, and parts to any butcher in towns
- Pelts and carcasses can be stored in your inventory or placed on your horse

Getting Started
- Visit a Fishing Shop to purchase a fishing rod and spinner bait
- Note: Old fishing rods from Gunsmiths are deprecated and won't work
- Find a suitable fishing location near bodies of water
- Equip your fishing rod and cast your line into the water
- Wait for a fish to bite, then follow the prompts to reel it in
Types of Fish & Rewards
- Different fishing spots yield different types of fish
- Fish can be sold to butchers for money
- Some fish can be used in cooking recipes
- There's a chance to find pearls while fishing (these have special uses)

- Fishing is a great way to reduce stress for your character
- Early morning and evening are ideal fishing times
- Different water types (river, lake, ocean) contain different fish species
MINING & GOLD PANNING
Mining
- Purchase a pickaxe from a blacksmith shop
- Locate mining areas around the county - all mining nodes are in cave systems near unusual rock formations
- Approach a mining node and interact with it using your pickaxe
- Collect valuable minerals like rocks, rubies, emeralds, diamonds, nitrite, lead, copper, platinum, and uncut sapphires
- Sell your findings to blacksmith shops or use them in crafting
Gold Panning
- Purchase a gold pan from a blacksmith shop
- Find a suitable river or stream with gold panning spots
- Equip your gold pan and interact with the water
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pan for gold
- For more efficient gold collection, craft a Gold Cradle Stand at a blacksmith
- Using the Gold Cradle Stand will also produce sand, which is useful for crafting glass
Water Canteen System
- Purchase or craft a water jug/canteen
- Fill your canteen at water sources by interacting with them
- Use your canteen to drink water when thirsty
- You can also use water sources to wash yourself and reduce your "cleanliness" meter
