Refused by a server? Start here.

Servers that run Poggy scripts share one thing with each other: who they banned for cheating. When three servers have banned the same player, every server on the network refuses them. This page shows you which servers banned you, so you know where to appeal.

Appeal to a community

Some communities take appeals right here. Pick the one that banned you and say your piece: it goes straight to their staff, and their answer comes back to this page. They decide, not us.

Sign in with Cfx.re above to appeal, or to read the answer to an appeal you already sent.

Server staff: answer your community’s tickets and appeals in a browser at the staff ticket panel.

How the network works

Only cheating bans are shared. A ban for breaking a server’s roleplay rules stays on that server. Rules differ; cheating does not.

One server is never enough. A ban is a vote. It takes three separate servers before anyone is refused anywhere else, and a new server’s votes do not count for its first two weeks. Servers that ban unusually fast are paused and reviewed.

It is reversible. Lifting a ban withdraws the vote. Votes expire after a year. Any owner can give a blocked player a second chance on their own server, which also counts in that player’s favour.

Server owners: the network is part of poggy_core and is on by default. Both halves (refusing network-banned players, and sharing your cheating bans) can be turned off in /poggy → poggy_core → Bans.

Privacy

When a server bans someone for cheating, it sends the network a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) copy of that player’s game identifiers and its own player count. It does not send a name, a reason, an IP address or the identifiers themselves. The network keeps which server voted on which scrambled identifier, and publishes only a list of scrambled identifiers with a count beside each. The purpose is keeping cheaters out of game servers.

Votes are deleted from the count when the ban is lifted, and stop counting after twelve months. Signing in on this page tells us your Cfx.re account id for the length of your visit so we can look up your own count; we do not store it.

To have a ban reviewed, appeal to the servers that made it: they are the ones who can lift it, and lifting it removes it from the network.

If you appeal to a community through this page, your Cfx.re name and account id and what you write are passed to that community’s staff, and held on our relay while the appeal is open and for seven days after it closes.
