Install Guide

From zero to the coast in about two minutes. Everything you need to join Rosewood Ridge.

Prerequisites

Before You Start

Own DayZ on Steam

Any standard PC copy of DayZ works. Keep the game and the DayZ Launcher updated — outdated versions are the #1 reason connections fail.

Subscribe to the two Workshop mods

Click each link and hit Subscribe — Steam handles the download:

Installing the Rosewood Ridge Mod

Download the mod

Download the latest release (v0.4). It's a small zip file.

Extract it

Unzip it anywhere you like — Desktop, Documents, a mods folder, doesn't matter. It does not need to be in a specific location. You'll get a folder named @RosewoodRidge.

Add it in the DayZ Launcher

Open the DayZ Launcher and go to the MODS tab. Click the folder icon with the plus (labeled Local Mod), then navigate to wherever you extracted @RosewoodRidge and select it.

Enable it

Rosewood Ridge now appears in your mods list. Click its checkbox to enable it. Make sure Community Framework and VPP Admin Tools are enabled too.

Connect to the server

Join 104.245.246.174 — the default port is correct, so you don't need to enter one. Find us in the SERVERS tab by searching the IP, or use direct connect.

Can't connect? The DayZ Launcher (or the game itself) most likely needs an update. Update both through Steam, restart the launcher, and try again.
Mod updated? When we release a new version, download the new zip and replace your whole @RosewoodRidge folder. Old versions can't join — the server checks mod signatures. Updates are announced in the Discord and listed on the changelog.
