The frontier runs on gunpowder. As Rosewood Ridge's licensed gunsmiths, you keep every citizen armed, every weapon firing true, and the shelves of the local armoury stocked.
Overview
The Gunsmith is a licensed civilian profession responsible for the sale, maintenance, and customisation of firearms in Rosewood Ridge. Every weapon in the territory — whether carried by a lawman, a rancher, or a travelling merchant — eventually needs cleaning, repair, or restocking of ammunition. That's where you come in.
This is not simply a shop job. A skilled gunsmith is embedded in the economic and social fabric of the server: interacting with law enforcement for duty arms, with criminals for black-market inquiries (or refusing them, as your character dictates), and with ordinary citizens who rely on you to keep their sidearms in working order.
Gunsmithing is a controlled profession. You must obtain the appropriate license in-character before you can open a shop or offer gun services. Speak to an admin or the appropriate government authority in-character to begin the licensing process.
Getting Licensed

Express interest through roleplay
Approach the appropriate IC authority (typically the territorial government or a sitting magistrate) and express your desire to operate a firearms business. Have a backstory for your character's experience with guns.

Obtain your Gunsmith License
Your license grants you the legal authority to buy, sell, repair, and customise weapons for other players. Operating without one is illegal in Rosewood Ridge and can result in IC consequences.

Set up or claim a shop location
Work with server administration to have your business registered. You'll need a physical location — typically an existing gun shop building in one of the towns.

Acquire firearms, ammunition, and cleaning supplies to have on hand. Post your shop's hours in Discord so customers know when you're open.
Services You Offer
Weapon Sales
You are one of the primary legal avenues for other players to purchase firearms. Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns — your stock dictates what's available in your region of the territory. You set your own prices (within reasonable IC market norms) and negotiate with customers.
Weapon Cleaning & Maintenance
All weapons in Rosewood Ridge degrade with use. A gun that hasn't been cleaned will lose accuracy and reliability over time. As a gunsmith, you can use Gun Oil to clean and restore a weapon's condition, charging the customer for your time and materials.
Weapon Customisation
Gunsmiths can apply modifications and cosmetic upgrades to weapons — grips, barrels, sights, and finishes. This is both a revenue stream and a strong RP opportunity to build a reputation as a craftsman with a personal touch.
Broken Weapon Repair
When a weapon reaches zero condition, it may break entirely. Only a licensed gunsmith has the skill and materials to repair a broken firearm, using iron and wood as raw components. This service is in high demand and commands premium pricing.
